One Month to Go: Iowa, January 3, 2008

Adam Nagourney, the chief national political reporter for The New York Times, explains that though this 2008 presidential campaign began very early, given that this will be the first presidential election without incumbents in the primaries since 1928, the campaign has really begun.

Mr. Nagourney's analysis is that Iowa is the prime battleground for the Democrats between the three-way race of Sen. Clinton, Sen. Obama, and former Sen. Edwards. He also states that New Hampshire is starting to become the prime battleground for the Republicans.

With only one month to go until the Iowa caucus, "the battle lines are drawn".
