TX-SEN: Rick Noriega is Officially In!

Hello everyone! First of all, I want to apologize for the lack of updates over the last two weeks. School is kicking into high gear with finals coming up next week, I ask you all to bear with us for the next week of two until Winter break starts, at which point we'll be blogging regularly once again. Okay, onto the story . . .

Rick Noriega has officially filed to be the Democratic nominee for the office of United States Senate from the state of Texas. There's not much I can really add to the video posted below other thank I encourage our readers to check out Rick's website. Rick has shown that he supports us, coming out of his way to visit UNT earlier this fall, so I encourage each of our members to support Rick Noriega in any way they can.

Also, as one can assume based on this post, filing for public office in Texas (federal, state, and county offices) has started for the 2008 cycle. The final day to apply to run for office is January 2. Do you know anyone running as a Democrat in your area, or know of any shocking developments in regards to someone dropping out early?
