TX-26: Introducing Democrat Ken Leach

As you all know, filing for Texas has been come and gone. While we democrats missed several opportunities at the U.S. House level (see TX-14 Ron Paul or TX-21 Lamar Smith) we did file in what are the most competitive districts in Texas with quality challengers. In TX-26, the U.S. House seat that encompasses the City of Denton and the University of North Texas, we did not disappoint. Our unopposed Democratic challenger against incumbent Republican Michael Burgess is Ken Leach.

Rather than bore you with my positive take on Ken, the following is Ken's announcement speech from the Denton County Democratic Party headquarters on how he will beat Rep. Burgess and what he plans to do as your next representative from the 26th district of Texas.

Of note, Ken filed on the first day possible and collected the necessary number of signatures (700) to appear on the ballot rather than simply pay the filing fee. He is clearly prepared for what is going to be a very tough contest in the upcoming year.
